IGAD Executive Secretary Meets Ethiopian Foreign Minister to Discuss Regional Peace and Security
The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), H.E. Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, met today with Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr. Gedion Timothewos, in Addis Ababa. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 38th African Union Summit.
Their discussions centered on pressing regional peace and security matters, as well as strengthening cooperation between IGAD and Ethiopia to foster regional integration and stability. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to collaborative efforts in addressing shared challenges, including conflict resolution, economic development, and humanitarian concerns across the Horn of Africa.
