Historic Ethio-Tanzania Joint Ministerial Commission Meeting Marks New Era in Bilateral Cooperation

Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the inaugural Ethio-Tanzania Joint Ministerial Commission Meeting, a significant step in fostering stronger bilateral relations between the two countries. Upon his arrival at Bole International Airport, Ambassador Kombo was received with a warm welcome by Ethiopia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Mesganu Arga Moach.  

This landmark meeting underscores the deepening cooperation between Tanzania and Ethiopia, two prominent nations in the region with shared interests in trade, regional security, and socio-economic development. The establishment of this Joint Ministerial Commission represents a pivotal opportunity for both countries to address mutual priorities, explore new areas of collaboration, and strengthen diplomatic ties.  

As key players in the African Union and regional initiatives, the meeting signals the commitment of both nations to advance collective goals while contributing to broader regional integration and stability.
