US Vice President JD Vance Threatens Sanctions and Military Action Against Russia, Over Ukraine

Vice President JD Vance has warned that the United States may impose sanctions and consider military action against Russia if President Vladimir Putin fails to agree to a peace deal ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty. Vance emphasized that deploying U.S. troops to Ukraine remains a viable option, highlighting both economic and military leverage in pressuring Russia.

This stance contrasts with that of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who has suggested that the U.S. would not commit forces to Ukraine. Vance’s remarks were made ahead of his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his participation in the Munich Security Conference, signaling a more assertive U.S. position on the conflict.

In addition to military considerations, Vance urged European leaders to collaborate with populist parties, address mass migration, and return to traditional values. He also criticized Europe’s handling of far-right parties and migration issues, advocating for a reassessment of U.S.-Russia relations following a potential peace agreement.
