The Ethiopian Federal Police (EFP) have undergone specialized training in VIP security, counter-terrorism, and cybercrime investigations, provided by experts from the UAE Ministry of Interior and Dubai Police. The sessions, held at the Ethiopian Police University, also included the provision of equipment to bolster the EFP’s operational capacity. 

At a ceremony in Addis Ababa, EFP Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael awarded certificates of appreciation to the UAE trainers, acknowledging their significant contributions. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the EFP, highlighting the UAE’s support in enhancing Ethiopia’s law enforcement capabilities. 

Demelash emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership between the two countries’ police institutions and pledged to continue cooperation to improve security expertise. This collaboration underscores the UAE’s growing role in supporting security initiatives across Africa.
