Ethiopia’s Digital Transformation Journey: Unveiling 2025-2030 E-Gov and E-Commerce Strategies
Ethiopia is advancing its digital transformation through strategic initiatives and collaborative efforts among government officials and stakeholders. A recent status update on this journey was presented in the presence of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh and all regional presidents. The session was initiated by His Excellency Minister Belete Molla, who set the tone for the discussions.
The progress report on the digital transformation journey and the Digital Transformation Plan was delivered by Mr. Tigist Hamid, Director-General of the Information Network Security Administration (INSA). Additionally, the e-Government and e-Commerce strategies for 2025–2030 were unveiled by Mr. Ato Tehone GebreMariam, Minister of Innovation and Technology.
These developments underscore Ethiopia’s commitment to fostering a robust digital economy, enhancing public service delivery, and promoting inclusive growth through technological innovation.
