Ethiopia’s Prime Minister and Turkey’s Erdoğan Hold Key Talks Amid Diplomatic Efforts in the Horn of Africa
PM Abiy Ahmed met with Turkish President Erdoğan in Ankara today, following Somalia’s President Mohamud’s arrival for the third round of Turkish-mediated talks. These talks focus on resolving tensions between Ethiopia and Somalia, sparked by Ethiopia’s plan to develop a port in Somaliland.
Turkey has hosted previous rounds amid growing diplomatic disputes. The Prime Minister’s office noted bilateral talks between the leaders. The ongoing diplomatic efforts aim to ease tensions in the Horn of Africa region.
