Our Team

Getachew is Manager of Partnerships and Outreach at Horn Review. As founder, he oversees Horn Review’s various initiatives with local partners.

Getachew obtained his first degree from Addis Ababa University’s Political Science and International Relations department and holds an M.A. in International Relations from Addis Ababa University and an M.A. from the University of Leeds, UK, in Political Communication. Getchew also works as a training coordinator with Institute for Security Studies. He has over 18 years of experience in media, diplomacy, and international relations.

Prior to his role at Horn Review, Getachew served as Director General at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked as Secretariat for the Foreign Policy Review Team. Upon Joining the private sector, Getachew worked as a senior political editor at The Reporter Newspaper in Ethiopia.
